Can I study offline?

Yes. Question pools and your progress are stored on your device. An internet connection is needed for purchases and restoring an unlock.

What is included for free?

Technician questions, practice exams and progress tracking are all free. A one-time in-app purchase unlocks all General and Amateur Extra questions and practice exams. The app shows the current store price before you buy.

Can I restore my purchase on a new phone?

Use the same store account, then open Settings and choose Restore purchases. Purchases do not automatically transfer between Apple and Google accounts.

Is this an official license examination?

No. HamUpgrade is a study aid and is not affiliated with the FCC or NCVEC. Arrange your examination with a volunteer examiner team.

How do I get help?
